FAQs

  • The best foundation repair method depends on the type of foundation, the severity of the damage, and the approach that the engineer wants to take to repair it.

  • Foundation can be unrepairable to the point where we need to replace it. And that's what we specialize in is the full foundation replacement. So a full foundation replacement would be us coming in and disconnecting utilities and getting underneath the house and lifting it up, and then either replacing the foundation with a crawl space or replacing it with a full height basement.

  • The extent of the work determines how long the project will take. Most repairs average 2 weeks.

  • You can use concrete piers. Our preferred method is helical piers, but you don't always have the option to use helical piers. Sometimes it requires replacing portions of the wall or placing metal underneath the foundation and then installing helical piers. The way helical piers are drilled into the ground non invasively so they don't disturb the soil. They just dig down, and they'll keep going until they find really hard, strong dirt. Once they find that dirt, we'll drill them until we hit a certain torque. Now, we can put weight on top of that helical pier, and it's going to hold what it's rated to hold. So we'll put those helical piers all the way around a house, and it'll then carry the load of the house.
